Cycling is a major part of my life—my garage (the Man Cave) looks like a bike showroom and framed posters of pro bike races are found throughout our house. My office has cycling photos and memorabilia. However, until last week there was one place that sadly lacked any reflection of my love of cycling—my front yard. Fortunately, last week Mrs. All Seasons Cyclist joined me for a trip to a local home improvement store and we found an Antique Metal Bicycle Planter that we both thought would look great in the flower garden in front of our house. I put the planter together and Mrs. All Seasons prepared the flower pots (this is our normal division of labor).
This Antique Metal Bicycle Planter is 52″ long by 35″ high. This planter comes unassembled, but it only has seven or eight parts and you can put it together in under ten minutes. There are two baskets—one in front and one behind the seat. My wife also put a small planter on the seat and tied it down with a short length of cord. While this product comes with a stabilizer base, I would strongly suggest you buy four tent stakes to secure it in case of high winds.
We bought the Antique Metal Bicycle Planter from our local Menards store for $99 (Model Number: BHB12620; Menards SKU: 2773288; Vendor: Enchanted Garden). This product is not available online, but you can check the Menards website for availability in your area.
